Online Training Now Available: Positive Behavior in Schools III: Bully Prevention

At the start of the 2013-14 school year, all Kentucky school personnel were required to have annual training in positive behavioral interventions and supports pursuant to 704 KAR 7:160, The Use of Physical Restraint and Seclusion in Public Schools, Section 6(1).

Positive Behavior in Schools III: Bully Prevention, a free, online professional development training course, is now available! This year's training runs two hours. The content provides simple strategies for implementing evidence-based, school-wide instruction to prevent bullying behavior. This practice is embedded within the positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) content previously presented and does not represent a separate focus. As with previous modules, videos featuring Kentucky schools are presented to provide clear examples of the simplicity with which this instruction can be implemented.

While there is no requirement for districts to use this specific training, it satisfies the requirements of the regulation and is free to districts.
