HARLAN COUNTY VOLLEYBALL
The Harlan Country volleyball team has won the 52nd district title three times in the past four years. They hope to bring home a fifth win next year with only three of their six starting varsity players returning. Coach Donna Viccini plans to participate in many tournaments to help her team progress. She stated, "I'm very excited for next season! I think we have some good players that are coming back. I've also seen a lot of talent from the previous year's Freshman. We've lost a lot of talent, though. The three seniors are going to be hard to replace, but with a lot of practice, I know that by the time the district tournament roles around, we'll be just fine. I've scheduled a few tournaments that should really help us as well. It's always good to play some of the better teams in tournaments to get us ready for district, and hopefully regional's! I have high hopes for next year's group. We ended this past season on a very good note, and I plan to push the girls next season to do the same."
