Services:
Students must earn a total of 20 volunteer hours in order to graduate as a member of the National Honor Society and wear the blue honor stole. These hours may be earned by individual or group projects.
The membership of the Harlan County High School National Honor Society participates in the following annual service projects:

Veteran Care packages with personal care items
- Empty Stocking Fund auction
- Empty Stocking fund phone volunteers
- Packing and delivery of food boxes to the needy at Christmas
- Wrapping gifts for disadvantaged youth.
- Teacher appreciation week
- Tri-City Easter Egg Hunt
- Host/hostesses for the annual Honor and Scholarship Night
- Christ’s Hands cleaning supplies collection

In the News
The National Honor Society of Harlan County High School recently conducted a group service project for Christ’s Hands. NHS students who volunteered at Christ’s Hands discovered a need that could be fulfilled with a group service project. Members collected over 200 food storage and cleaning products.
