In the classroom, we use a wide variety of tools and objects in order to teach the students about Jazz. Here are just some of the items that we use.

Chop-Monster by Shelly Berg

 

Chop-Monster is a Jazz book that helps improve the student's "chops". This means that they will be able to better hear the pitches, thus will be able to play better. The students, when using this book, will sing the different pitches in order to learn what they sound like.
