Harlan County Schools Superintendent Brent Roark and a team of administrators, students, a teacher and a parent will hold a Facebook live discussion on Tuesday, August 25th at 11 a.m. about the district’s back to school plans. The broadcast will also be recorded and available for viewing at your convenience. “We realize that our students, parents and staff have questions about the upcoming school year. It begins virtually on August 31st,” said Roark. “We’ve never started a school year without parents and students meeting with their teachers in advance at open house and reporting to classes on the first day of school,” he said. “We know we will have a few bumps, but we want to make this experience as easy as possible. Therefore, I believe it is imperative that we take advantage of this opportunity to share important information everyone needs to know." The discussion will include various topics all designed to assist you in understanding what will be taking place as classes begin.
As always, anyone with specific questions should contact their child’s school.
